What is Thailand's 90 day report?

If you are a foreigner with a long term visa living in Thailand, you must report your address and visa status every 90 days to the immigration authorities. Failure to do so can result in a fine up to 5,000 THB, or even imprisonment.

This period starts on the day that you receive your visa, or restarts every time you re-enter Thailand from a trip abroad.

If you have one of these visas you have to report your stay to immigration every 90 days:

What do I bring to a 90-day report?

If you want to file a 90-Day report at Immigration these are the requirements that you need to bring ;

1. Original and photocopy of passport pages (identification page and pages with visas and stamps)

  • front page showing name / surname / Passport No., ect.
  • current visa
  • last entry stamp of immigration
  • last extension of visa

2. Photocopy of TM.6 (front and back of your arrival/departure card)

3. Original TM.30’s receipt of notification (notification of residence for foreigners) (if any)

4. Original TM.47’s receipt of notification (previous notifications of staying over 90 days) (if any)

5. Completed TM.47 form

Is there a fee for 90 day reporting in Thailand?

You don't need to pay a fee to report your 90-Day but if you don’t submit your 90-Day Report before the due date or seven days after it then there is a fine of 2,000 Thai Baht (about $65 / €60).

How do I report 90 days in Thailand?

If it is your first time filing a report for 90-days you need to go to the Immigration but if its your second time filing a report you can easily do it via the Internet by yourself as follows: Enter the website of the Immigration Office at URL : https://www.immigration.go.th/ and select the Online Service (Over 90 day).

Note : The online application must be submitted within 15 days of the due date. For example, if the due date is 27 September 2020, you can submit the application from 13 September 2020

What is a 90 day report?

As the name suggests, if you have been living in Thailand for more than 90 days, you have to report your current address to Immigration. The days start counting starting from the day you enter Thailand. So, if you leave Thailand and then re-enter, the days will reset to zero, and you have to submit your report ninety days after re-entering.

The 90 day report is the government’s way to monitor the foreigners staying in Thailand in an effort to minimize illegal activities or stays.

Can you do 90-day report anywhere Thailand?

No you can't.

You need to file your 90-day report at the Immigration Office in the province where you stay.

Who needs a 90-day report in Thailand?

90-Day report is for foreigners staying in Thailand for a period longer than 90 consecutive days holding a Non-Immigrant Visa or Extension of Stay, It is  required by Thai Immigration to report the present address every 90 days.

What happens if you don't report 90 days Thailand?

If you don’t submit your 90-Day Report before the due date, then you still have seven days after it when you can do it. However, if you fail to do it then there is a fine of about 2,000 Thai Baht (about $65 / €60). If you were arrested during this time, and this is the reason you could not report your stay, then the fine is 5,000 Thai Baht
