As we all knew, Thailand offers a lot of family-friendly destinations, but there are a few places that may not be suitable for young children too. Let's explore some places to avoid when traveling with kids in Thailand to help you plan a memorable and worry-free trip.
Thailand is home to many wildlife attractions,these include many temples that keep wild animals inside and illegal elephant camps. However, some of these places have been criticized for their treatment of animals. It's essential to research and choose ethical wildlife sanctuaries that prioritize animal welfare over entertainment. Avoid places that allow direct contact with wild animals, as they may pose safety risks for kids.

Indeed, Mae Ramphueng Beach boasts a serene and beautiful atmosphere, but it may not be the best choice if you're traveling with kids (or even for adults, to be honest). The reason being, it can be dangerous to your family. Most of the underwater terrain at Mae Ramphueng features alternating high and low sandbars, creating riptides when waves crash onto the shore. These riptides can pull people underwater and out to sea, a phenomenon known as a 'Rip Current.' Unfortunately, this has been a leading cause of fatalities, as swimmers attempt to fight against the current to reach the shore.
The right way to swim here, as advised by the head of the Kao Laem Ya–Mu Ko Samet National Park's lifeguard team, is to swim parallel to the beach to escape the current. With this information, it's important to note that this beach may not be the safest choice for children who are not strong swimmers or adults who are not aware of underwater currents. Additionally, please be aware that this beach is open for regular visits, except during the monsoon season when it's not recommended to swim. Nevertheless, Thai Kru recommends that there are many more beaches that are more beautiful and safer than Mae Ramphueng Beach. Please take your lovely children to visit those beautiful beaches.
We know this might sound too mean. But believe me, if you haven't been to one of those famous restaurants, you can't imagine how crowded they can be. We've all stood in long lines at busy stores. Even when I was sitting down to enjoy the food, I had to turn my attention to the small child at the next table who was crying because of the heat and discomfort from the atmosphere inside the restaurant.
So, take your lovely child and find a restaurant with an airy and comfortable atmosphere. This way, you can ensure a joyful dining experience for both parents and their adorable little ones, as well as those dining around you. You don't have to endure for very long queues which such a hot and discomfort that can often accompany famous restaurants. Trust our advice, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants across Thailand that, while not famous, offer delicious food.
Thailand boasts numerous remote islands, and while they can offer breathtaking natural beauty, some may lack basic amenities and medical facilities. Traveling to such islands with young children can be challenging, as emergencies or unexpected situations may arise without the necessary support.
Major cities like Bangkok are notorious for their traffic congestion. Navigating busy streets with kids in tow can be stressful and time-consuming. Plan your city visits carefully, and consider using public transportation, like the BTS Skytrain or MRT subway, to avoid the hassle of traffic. It's usually more convenient to use the BTS to get around the city, so I'm going to list some particularly busy times that you should avoid.
-All BTS lines on normal workdays: Monday-Friday. Especially during the hours 07.00-09.00 and 17.00-19.00 ( It' rush and crowded times)
-Siam Paragon, Icon Siam, Central World and various leading department stores (Since after noon On Saturdays and Sundays), it is better if you choose to come at a relatively early time on holidays. But on working days it will not be very crowded.
Tips: Don't calling a taxi during rush hour (As I said above) it will cost you a lot of time and money while waiting in traffic.
